The Supernova of Athlete-Led Communities

The Supernova of Athlete-Led Communities

Overview

GRVTY is building a new kind of digital community - one where athletes can own, control, and monetize their data, and fans can access authentic content and support causes they care about. With a founding team including sports legends like Dimitar Berbatov and Avram Grant, GRVTY needed an identity and product strategy as ambitious as its mission.

KICKFLIP partnered with GRVTY to deliver:

  • A brand sprint that clarified positioning and values

  • Product strategy & mobile app design to empower athletes and superfans

  • Pitch deck design for investors and partners

  • Three micro-websites on ReadyMag to tell GRVTY’s story with style

Background

The sports industry has long struggled with two challenges:

  1. Athletes losing control over their own data and brand.

  2. Fans craving authentic, direct connections instead of curated perfection.

GRVTY set out to flip the script by creating a Web3-powered community platform where athletes own their identity, fans are rewarded for loyalty, and social impact is embedded into every interaction.

But the concept needed a clear brand voice, product strategy, and investor narrative to go from vision to execution.

The Challenge

  • Define GRVTY’s positioning: More than “just another app,” GRVTY needed to stand apart in a crowded sports-tech space.

  • Design a mobile experience: Complex features like digital ID, smart contracts, and fan challenges had to feel fun and intuitive.

  • Craft a brand system: One bold enough for investors, but authentic enough for athletes and superfans.

  • Build investor trust: Pitch decks had to communicate vision + credibility in equal measure.

  • Tell the story online: Three landing pages were needed to explain the mission to different audiences.

What We Did

  • Brand Sprint: Positioning statement, mission narrative, and identity system.

  • Product Design: Mobile UX/UI with intuitive flows for athletes and fans, balancing data privacy with community fun.

  • Pitch Decks: Tailored decks for investors, athletes, and partners — blending business clarity with design punch.

  • Micro-Websites: Three ReadyMag sites showcasing GRVTY’s vision, team credibility, and upcoming launch.

The Results

  • Clear positioning: GRVTY stands as “the community platform for athletes and superfans”.

  • Engaging product design: The app concept translates complex Web3 tech into a friendly, gamified experience.

  • Investor-ready decks: Helped GRVTY communicate vision, credibility, and traction — fueling investor conversations.

  • Digital presence: Three micro-sites gave the brand a sharp online footprint from day one.

What’s Next

GRVTY proved how much potential lies in athlete-led communities. By combining sport, fandom, Web3, and social impact, the project redefines the future of digital engagement.

For us, the project reinforced the power of a brand sprint + rapid execution to align teams, attract investors, and translate vision into reality. GRVTY is continuing to develop its app and community, building on the foundation we helped shape.
